On Tuesday 21st – Thursday 23rd March 2017, there was an induction programme held for academic and technical staff of University of Nigeria, Nsukka. This was organized by the SERVICOM unit in collaboration with the University administration. As garnered from Federal Road Safety Corps website, "SERVICOM is an acronym derived from the words SERVICE COMPACT.  Compact is a formal agreement between two or more people.  In this case SERVICOM is a Service Compact (Agreement) between the Federal Government including all its organs and the Nigerian people".The Director of the UNN Servicom unit is Professor Chike Ofuebe. This hard-working and erudite Professor has been performing greatly with his team members since inception of the unit. Many workshops have been organized by the unit among which is the recently concluded induction of newly appointed staff of the University. Participants were of the view that this kind of programme be organized more often than not, so as to enlighten the University staff on ethical issues in the University system.
